PUCPR Launches Extension Educator Award in Curitiba, Brazil

The Pontificia Universidad Católica de Paraná (PUCPR) has launched a recognition award for professors to promote the University Extension Culture.
The university has launched this award this year as an initiative aiming to promote the outreach culture through the recognition and visibility of good practices in this field. It aims to highlight the most outstanding extension activities of the PUCPR, recognizing professors leading innovative projects.
In this first edition, 16 projects were submitted, and an external board of experts was in charge of the evaluation. Candelaria Ferrara, the CLAYSS-Uniservitate regional hub coordinator, served as an evaluator. The evaluation process took place from 14th to 21st October, and the award ceremony was on 24th October, with the recognition of the three selected projects.
The winning professors will attend international university extension events in 2025 as their reward for their initiatives:
1 ° venue: The 28th International Service-Learning Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina, organized by CLAYSS and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Argentina.
2 ° venue: The National Forum of Extension and Community Action of Community Institutions of Higher Education (ForExt).
3 ° venue: Regional Meeting of the Southern Chamber of ForExt held at the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS), in São Leopoldo, Brazil.
This award recognizes the professors' engagement in university extension and offers a unique opportunity to share experiences and learn from other institutions in international forums. We at CLAYSS congratulate all those involved, the project developers, the Award team and the University, for this valuable initiative of recognition and appreciation of extension activities. We hope to see you in Buenos Aires in August 2025!
