Shaping the future of our global network together

As we continue to celebrate Easter, we welcome you to this first newsletter for Rectors of 2026. This year presents us with the challenge of continuing to carry out our planned activities with professionalism and fraternity. Fundamentally, we must prepare to host our 7th Global Symposium in Rome and, throughout this period, continue to outline the global network’s sustainability and governance strategy for the 2027–2029 period.
In this context, on 15th April we held the fifth meeting of the Rectors of the global network. We were honoured by the presence of Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça, Prefect of the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See, who expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the work of Uniservitate as an opportunity to strengthen the links between learning and service in solidarity and to bring the Global Compact on Education to fruition.
The Uniservitate global network now encompasses more than 600 Catholic higher education institutions worldwide, as well as various types of associations and networks (ecclesial, congregational, regional). In the coming period, it will be very important to have the support of your institutions as we look to the future, as we need to continue weaving this network together and making it sustainable, acting as builders of peace through learning and service in solidarity.
We invite you to read this newsletter and to help spread the word and grow the network so that more and more young people may experience the integraleducation we dream of, and so that our institutions may contribute to building an increasingly fraternal world.
