We Continue Praying Together and Beyond Frontiers

Once a month, the Uniservitate global community gathers online for a shared prayer time.
The service-learning team at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt in Bavaria, Germany, organized and led the Global Prayer on 11th September. In June, July and August the hosts were the Hogar de Cristo in Santiago, a solidarity service-learning community partner at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; De La Salle University in the Philippines and the Universidad Nacional de Pernambuco in Brazil, respectively.
Each prayer session lasts approximately 20 minutes and is based on a proposal from each team. Sometimes, it focuses on a specific topic, while other times it takes a more narrative approach, presenting the stories of saints or dedications to the patron saint of the place hosting the prayer. The prayers generally refer to different religious traditions.
The initiative began in January 2024, based on a proposal from the team at the Universidad de Deusto in Spain, the regional hub for Western Europe South. This year, it has been coordinated by the team at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the regional hub for Latin America and the Caribbean. Participation is open to all higher education institutions that want to take part and is inspired by Jesus’ teaching that our Father in Heaven will grant whatever two or more ask for in His name.
The schedule for the coming months is as follows: 9th October, hosted by the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU); 13th November, hosted by the Universidad de Deusto; and 4th December, hosted by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Those wishing to participate only need to complete a simple form.
