We begin a new year celebrating the growth that our global network has experienced during 2025, in which we also bid farewell to one father, our beloved Pope Francis, and welcome another, the esteemed Pope Leo XIV.
We would like to highlight two events in 2025 that confirm our commitment to service-learning and strengthen the bonds not only between those of us who are already part of the Uniservitate Global Network, but also with the other ‘stars’ of the Catholic educational constellations. We refer to the inclusion of service-learning in the Apostolic Letter ‘Drawing new maps of hope,’ Pope Leo XIV’s first document dedicated to education, and the relaunch of the Global Education Pact in which we participate through CLAYSS-Uniservitate.
Many of the activities carried out during 2025 could be added to these facts, but we have chosen to highlight only two of them: the enriching additions to Uniservitate of higher education institutions around the world belonging to the Jesuits and the Marist Brothers, and the valuable production of knowledge thanks to the help of the Small Research Funds.
Among the events planned for the coming year, we would like to highlight the launch of the third edition of the Uniservitate 2026 Award and the VII Global Symposium, which will be held in Rome at the end of October. During this new year, the second phase of the project that gave rise to Uniservitate will also be completed, and its future will be planned, always seeking to increase the brilliance of each institution that makes up the network and the unity among us which, as the Pope teaches us, is our prophetic strength.
