This year’s annual meeting of the Uniservitate community will focus on fostering peace and hope in a vulnerable world. Organized by the Central and Eastern Europe and Middle East (CEE & ME) hub and coordinated by the Uniservitate team, the VI Global Symposium Uniservitate will take place on 6th and 7th November in a hybrid format. It will be held at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (Germany) in English with translation into Spanish.
As part of this event, there will be a new Rectors’ Meeting and a meeting between members of some of the seven Uniservitate hubs on Thursday, 6th November.
The Symposium, entitled Service-Learning in a Fragile World: Universities Nourishing Peace and Hope, includes panels, concurrent sessions, and presentation of initiatives. Voices from different parts of the world will discuss resilience through service-learning and networking, focusing on the spiritual dimension from a humanistic approach. This will include presentations of experiences inspired by the Global Compact on Education. A group of young people will also share the results of a ‘Student Symposium’ held on 23rd October, addressing different aspects of the Global Compact on Education through service-learning projects.
