Universidad Católica de Pernambuco

The Catholic University of Pernambuco – UNICAP, began its activities with the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters Manoel da Nóbrega, in 1943 and its formalisation as a university took place on September the 27th of 1951.
Inspired by the charism of the Society of Jesus (Jesuit Order), UNICAP is a Catholic and community university, located in the Northeast of Brazil, a region with many challenges and potentials.
With the motto “The campus is the city”, seeks to promote the integral formation through community actions, education and research. Its more than 10 thousand students work in dozens of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and intervene positively in reality, through actions that promote bridges and exchanges of knowledge, wisdom and experiences, anchored in the collective construction and Christian humanist values.
UNICAP has the highest quality qualification granted by the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
