The long-standing International Service-Learning Conference organized by CLAYSS takes place in Buenos Aires on 29th and 30th August, bringing together experts, educators, students and representatives of social organizations from all five continents.
The event, held in the context of the 21st International Service-Learning Week, includes a day devoted to Uniservitate, with a special schedule. The Uniservitate member’s meeting will be streamed, but exclusive activities are planned for in-person participants. More details will be provided in the next newsletter.
As in its 26 previous editions, the Conference is a space to train and update participants on the Service-Learning (SL) approach. It promotes the international exchange of ideas and experiences between schools, higher education institutions, universities and social organizations developing community-based educational initiatives. Furthermore, the programme fosters opportunities for a closer connection between civil society organizations and the formal educational system, benefiting both educational equity and quality.
As in 2023, this year, the Conference sessions will focus on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations in 2015. The simultaneous sessions will feature solidarity service-learning initiatives developed by educational institutions at all levels or civil society organizations in different countries.
Members interested in participating can contact memberships@uniservitate.org for more information.
