CLAYSS-Uniservitate was present in Lisbon 2023 with a stand at the Vocational Fair and this global network was presented at a round table convened by the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See.
The Unservitate stand, one of the 130 deployed under the shade of huge trees in the Jardim Vasco da Gama, in Belém (Lisbon), aroused special interest among young people who discovered it in the midst of religious orders, movements, associations and social projects. The pilgrims were received by representatives of CLAYSS-Uniservitate or by young people from universities or institutions that are part of the global network such as the Catholic universities of Chile, Ukraine, the Portuguese University, LUMSA in Italy and Tangaza University College in Kenya, as well as the Marists of Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina.
The second day of the WYD CLAYSS-Uniservitate was presented to four hundred young people together with three other inspiring educational experiences convened by the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See. Isabel Tresca and Mariano García, from Uniservitate, shared the panel with Montserrat del Pozo, from the Missionary Daughters of the Holy Family of Nazareth; Pedro Rocha e Melo, executive director of the TEN Academy and Joana Corrêa Monteiro, from the University of Lisbon.
Unservitate’s participation in WYD is based on the strategic alliance that has been developed with the Dicastery for Culture and Education within the framework of the Global Compact on Education and, in particular, with the area of Higher Education.
