Uniservitate is delighted to announce the expansion of its global network with the addition of several esteemed institutions across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe. This significant growth marks a key milestone in the programme’s fifth year, strengthening our collective commitment to promoting and supporting solidarity service-learning worldwide.
“We extend a warm welcome to these new Supported Institutions to the Uniservitate community. We are confident that their expertise and dedication will significantly enrich our network and contribute to the ongoing institutionalization of high-quality service-learning within their respective institutions,” said Candelaria Ferrara, the Uniservitate regional hub coordinator.
By joining the programme, these institutions become part of a vibrant global network of educators, professionals, and researchers passionate about fostering civic engagement, social responsibility, and intercultural learning through meaningful service-learning experiences.
This global network includes an academic sounding board consisting of experts in service-learning, regional hubs or referents that guide other universities in their region, supported universities, and regional or global “member” institutions and networks interested in familiarizing themselves with the service-learning holistic education proposal.
The 13 new institutions joined as “supported” universities to the thirty universities included during the first stage (2020-2022), receiving technical and academic support and guidance to institutionalize service-learning.
The Uniservitate coordination expressed its sincere gratitude for the dedicated work of the regional hubs across the globe, playing a vital role in supporting institutions in their journey to institutionalize service-learning. Through their guidance and support, institutions gain access to the global network, participate in valuable global and regional activities and training, and benefit from access to resources, research scholarships, awards, and other opportunities related to solidarity service-learning.
“We look forward to a fruitful and collaborative journey with our new supported institutions and continued partnership with our dedicated regional hubs as we strive to build a more just and equitable world through the transformative power of solidarity service-learning,” said Candelaria Ferrara.
