On 20th January, Ma. Rosa Tapia, the coordinator of the Uniservitate Global Programme, gave an online talk on Service-Learning to the lecturers of the Public Administration Department of Assam Don Bosco University, India.
At the end of the meeting, there was a space to discuss and exchange ideas with Candelaria Ferrara, coordinator of the 7 regional hubs comprising the Programme. Then both of them answered the questions and concerns of the participants.
More than 30 teachers joined the talk, showing great interest in the subject while participating in a valuable exchange regarding the road to take. Dr Riju Sharma, a representative for the Uniservitate Programme and service-learning activities at the university, was also present.
Assam Don Bosco University is part of the Uniservitate regional hub for Asia and Oceania. The project “Bikkhuda Jol Aasoni” (safe drinking water for all) won recognition at the Uniservitate Award 2022: an experience that makes water in rural areas drinkable, thanks to nanotechnology.
