The second week of May, the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Ecuador (PUCE) received the visit of the Uniservitate team of the LATAM Regional Hub represented by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
The meeting organized within the framework of the Uniservitate Programme was an opportunity to share experiences and to visit, together with the directors (rector and vice-rector), the Academic General Direction and the International Relations Direction of the Ecuadorian institution, the spaces where the service-learning projects of the different chairs are carried out.
The meeting also made it possible for the Uniservitate team, represented by Chantal Jouannet and José Sepúlveda, to follow-up and have a valuable exchange with the PUCE collaborators who are leading the different initiatives of service-learning.
In addition, personalized pedagogical advising and various training activities were held for educators in two areas:
“Institutionalization of service-learning” and workshop “From the Desk to the Territory” with the theoretical and practical foundations of incorporating SL.
In these courses, more than 50 educators obtained new tools and resources to enrich and strengthen their work with students and communities.
