This week Mwenge Catholic University in Tanzania, which was recently incorporated into our global programme, received the visit of Judith Pete from Tangaza University College, referent of the regional hub of the Uniservitate network in Africa.
The representatives of both institutions took advantage of the meeting to exchange ideas, experiences and outline a plan of joint actions to strengthen the link, unify efforts and grow the programme and its initiatives in the region.
Mwenge Catholic University (Tanzania) is one of the four universities that joined the programme in 2021, together with the University of Kisubi (Uganda), Université Catholique de l’Afrique Centrale (Cameroon) and Loyola University (Congo), under the coordination of Tangaza University College (Kenya). After a mentoring and training process, they will seek to promote and encourage the institutionalisation of service learning in higher education in their respective countries.
